The academic year option combines the fall and spring semesters to deliver a complete and well-rounded study abroad experience in China!

Credits: 30-36 credits (18-24 Chinese language credits, 6-12 liberal arts credits)
Program Length: 32 weeks

Arrival and Orientation
Students should arrive on the Friday or Saturday prior to their session's start date for Sunday's comprehensive program orientation, which typically lasts from 10:30am to 4:00pm. CLI's orientation usually follows the below schedule:
10:30am - 12:00pm Review the CLI Orientation Packet (includes several essentials)
12:00pm - 01:30pm Lunch at Local Specialty Restaurant
01:30pm - 04:00pm Tour local area with Chinese students from Guangxi Normal University
If you wish to arrive prior to the Friday before your first Monday class, you are welcome to stay in a private room at CLI for 100 RMB per night.
