  • Participate in an expert-led visit to a Queensland Sewage Treatment Plant that converts waste into resources that benefit the environment and the neighboring communities.
  • Visit the University of Queensland and chat with students.
  • Meet Australia’s charismatic marsupials at a Koala Sanctuary!
  • Get to know Australia’s number one beer at the XXXX brewery.
  • Enjoy a weekend trip to North Stradbroke Island and work on research projects related to the Western-indigenous resource co-management of the island.
  • Catch the view from the deck at Skypoint in the Gold Coast!
  • Learn how water is desalinated at a desalination plant.
  • Explore the gold mine in Mount Morgan, in Gladstone.
  • Walk across the Sydney Harbor Bridge and get a close-up look of Sydney’s iconic Opera House.
  • Visit one of the Australia’s (and the world’s) foremost aerospace companies.

Pre-Departure To-Do List

  1. Complete CLI’s Student Information Form
    Complete CLI’s Student Info Form by Friday, December 29, 2017. Be sure to enter information exactly as it appears on your passport. If you do not currently have a valid passport, you are still able to submit the Student Information Form using these instructions. Your program is titled “VT RSAP Australia 2018”.
  2. Secure your passport
    If you do not already have a passport that will be valid for at least six months after your program end date, please visit the U.S. State Department for instructions on how to obtain one.
  3. Secure your visa
    If you are not a United States passport holder and believe you may need an Australian visa, please contact CLI by phone at 888-781-8383 or by email at maria@studycli.org.
  4. Complete CLI’s allergies and dietary restrictions form
    Complete our medical allergies and dietary restrictions form upon reading this prompt. It’s important that we have access to information regarding any medical allergies you may have or other medical considerations we should be aware of. Please also use this opportunity to inform us of your dietary restrictions (if any).
  5. Review important travel information
    Make sure you have thoroughly reviewed health and safety information from both the CDC and the U.S. State Department well in advance of your departure to Australia.
