UWSP Pre-Departure Checklist

Please complete each of the following steps in preparation for your program at CLI. As always, feel free to contact CLI anytime at 888-781-8383 or email CLI’s Director of Admissions at nancy@studycli.org.
  1. Complete CLI’s Student Information Form(www.studycli.org/info)
    Complete CLI’s Student Info Form by March 16, 2015. Be sure to enter information exactly as it appears on your passport.
  2. Obtain Your Chinese Visa(www.studycli.org/doc/uwspvisa)
    Thoroughly review the Visa Application Guide (available at the above link) and submit all required application items to the Katie Perryman-Gebhardt in the International Programs Office by Friday, March 20, 2015. Your passport, which will contain your Chinese visa, will then be returned to the IPO by Monday, April 20, 2015, at which point you can obtain it from them.
  3. Complete CLI’s Health Form(www.studycli.org/health)
    Taking the proper health and safety precautions prior to your travels to China is essential. Please complete CLI’s Health Form by Monday, March 23, 2015.
  4. Review Pre-Departure Packet(www.studycli.org/doc/cspacket)
    In an effort to better prepare you for your time abroad, CLI has put together a detailed pre-departure packet. Be sure to review all information carefully and contact CLI at nancy@studycli.org with any additional questions that you may have.
  5. Review CLI’s List of Online Learning Resources(www.studycli.org/resources)
    A great selection of free Mandarin learning resources is available online. Please take at least one hour to review and familiarize yourself with each of the resources mentioned.
  6. Review Your China Internship Course Syllabus(www.studycli.org/doc/coursesyllabus)
    Review your China Internship Course Syllabus before program commencement and be sure to contact Professor Mihm if you have any questions (barbara.mihm@uwsp.edu). Follow the links below to your respective internship outline.
  7. Familiarize Yourself with Your Itinerary (www.studycli.org/doc/uwspitinerary)
    Be sure to thoroughly review your China itinerary and, as always, feel free to contact CLI anytime.
