In preparation for the China Trek, please complete the following steps at your earliest convenience. Feel free to contact us anytime at whartonchinatrek@gmail.com if you have questions regarding the sign up process.
  1. For full transparency, track the China Trek’s revenue and expenses!
All leftover funds at the end of the trek will be returned to you via PayPal or Venmo! The partner organizing the trek, CLI, was founded by a WG’16 classmate and will make no profit on this trip. Our three trek leaders’ primary expenses (transportation, hotels, and itinerary activities) will be covered in the program fee. To ensure full transparency, feel free to follow our Google Sheet ledger to see how we’re doing!
  2. Complete the China Trek Student Information Form
Complete CLI’s Student Information Form as soon as possible. Spots fill up fast!
  3. Submit your China Trek deposit
To reserve your space in the China trek, click the link below to submit your 500 USD non-refundable deposit. Space will fill up quick, so the earlier you submit your deposit, the better! Use our secure online payment system (secured by Stripe) to submit your deposit.

  5. Complete the medical allergies and dietary restrictions form
Please complete our medical allergies and dietary restrictions form upon reading this prompt. It’s important that your travel logistics providers have access to information regarding any medical allergies you may have or other medical considerations of which we should be aware. Please also use this opportunity to inform us of your dietary restrictions (if any).
  6. Submit your remaining China Trek balance
Your remaining balance of 1800 USD (which is the 2300 USD full trek fee less your 500 USD deposit from step 3 above) is due by March 16, 2016. Use our secure online payment system (secured by Stripe) to submit your balance.

  7. Review our Pre-Departure Packet
In an effort to better prepare you for your China trek, CLI has put together this detailed pre-departure packet. Be sure to review all information carefully and contact CLI at nancy@studycli.org with any additional questions you may have.
  8. Review our China Trek itinerary
We’ll update our China Trek itinerary in the months leading up to the trip. Feel free to check in anytime!
  9. Review Important Travel Information
Make sure you have thoroughly reviewed health and safety information from both the CDC and the U.S. State Department well in advance of your departure to China. The State Department highlights that “China remains a very safe country” for most travelers. That said, when traveling to any foreign country, it is important that each student familiarize themselves with relevant health and safety information.
