While discovering the “Big Apple” through excursions to a variety of iconic monuments and museums, students will also participate in a homestay with peers from Avenues School for a week of intensive language immersion.

Next, the group will continue their journey down the East Coast to the historic city of Philadelphia, where they will gain further insight into the development of American democracy and cultural values. This portion of the trip also includes tours of the University of Pennsylvania and Wharton School of Business.

The seminar will conclude with a four-day survey of the nation’s capital Washington D.C. Here, students will explore emblematic political landmarks including the White House Capitol Building, as well as visit CLI’s partner school Sidwell Friends.
